We study the effects of color superconductivity on the structure of compact stars, and we show that it is possible to satisfy most of recent observational boundaries on masses and radii if a diquark condensate forms in a hybrid or in a quark star. Furthermore, we find that the constraints on masses and radii of the compact stellar objects put rather stringent limits on the parameter values of the nuclear equation of state. © 2004 Elsevier B.V. Abstract
