A server-Client software architecture, designed snd built for the Pocket PC (PDA) handheld devices with the Windows CE OS, is presented. The whole system supports both TCP-IP and UDP protocols. Theree are the main features of the system. Firstly, the "Server-Client" system can broadcast any type of differential correction data stream, such as carrier phase and code range corrections, both with RTCM standards formats and with proprietary formats. Second, the "Server" software is able to reconnect to the GPRS provider, automatically, in case of interruption of the GPRS/EDGE link. Finally, more than one client can connect to the same PDA server at the same time. Some laboratory and field tests have been carried out to verify the functioning of the whole architecture. The tests were repeatead during the most usual operative conditions, alteranting both different mobile operators and modems of old and new generation.
