The transnational nature of Woolf’s writings has already been explored within the historical and political context of her time, but Woolf transgressing the national boundaries as an influential author figure is a relatively new research topic which lends itself to comparative, cross-disciplinary and cross-generational investigations of Woolf and her work beyond borders. In its exploration of various forms of engagement with Woolf’s work, this volume draws its strength not only from the wide range of research areas under its focus such as rewriting, translation, dance, music, fashion, fine arts, digital humanities and drama, but also from a rich scope of contributions made by scholars from countries as different as Italy, Turkey, China, France, Brazil, Egypt, Japan and many others. They shed light on Woolf as a transnational figure as well as on her influence in various cultural and political contexts. While building on Woolf’s transnationalism, the book also traces her wide and multifaceted legacy and shows how the reading of her works from ever newer and different perspective can impact on contemporary literary and artistic production.

Abstract
While building on Woolf’s transnationalism, the book also traces her wide and multifaceted legacy and shows how the reading of her works from ever newer and different perspective can impact on contemporary literary and artistic production.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
