The article analyses the potential of design in preserving works of art in emergencies, between historical and contemporary perspectives, with specific reference to movable works and to that Italian context that Antonio Paolucci has icastically defined as "diffuse museum" due to the widespread and diversified scenario in which heritage is preserved. Considering this situation, a new integrated design can defend works of art from natural or anthropic calamities in order to guarantee their possible "rebirth" in conditions of rediscovered normality, crossing the theme of a perpetuation of memory and culture that, as in other circumstances of survival, can have implementation values towards new and better balances, connected for example to consequent procedures of cleaning, restoration or new placement.

Abstract
The article analyses the potential of design in preserving works of art in emergencies, between historical and contemporary perspectives, with specific reference to movable works and to that Italian context that Antonio Paolucci has icastically defined as "diffuse museum" due to the widespread and diversified scenario in which heritage is preserved. Considering this situation, a new integrated design can defend works of art from natural or anthropic calamities in order to guarantee their possible "rebirth" in conditions of rediscovered normality, crossing the theme of a perpetuation of memory and culture that, as in other circumstances of survival, can have implementation values towards new and better balances, connected for example to consequent procedures of cleaning, restoration or new placement.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
