Frontiere, diritti, culture. La filosofia del diritto e i Migration Studies

This forum discusses some of the key issues concerning the interplay between the so called Migration Studies, and the Philosophy of Law. Therefore, the forum explores three different topics, which are particularly relevant for the analysis of the effect of migrations on legal and political systems. First, Mindus and Cuono analyse, from the perspective of legal realism, the challenge that migration poses to traditional conceptions of justice, and to the rights both of the State and of the migrant persons. Second, Parolari discusses some of the key issues that arise from the interplay between different legal systems and legal traditions, and focuses on the notion of inter-legality. Third, Verdolini analyses the questions of border control and of internal and external security, also exploring the conceptual relationship between law and space.
