Bacterial meningitis is still the most common intracranial complication both of otitis media and sinusitis. Although the widespread use of antibiotic therapy has not decreased the frequency of sinusitis and otitis, it has greatly reduced the morbidity and mortality of this infection. We report a case of bacterial meningitis after the simultaneous intracranial extension of an ethmoidal-sphenoidal sinusitis and an otomastoiditis.
