Note sulla trasformazione da sistema geocentrico a sistema ellissoidico [On the transformation from geocentric to ellipsoidal system]

In this frame of the techniques for the treatment of data coming from GPS measurements, some of the formulae, currently available in the literature, on the transformation from the cartesian orthogonal reference frame to the ellipsoidal one are presented, analyzed and discussed as far as the relevant reachable precision and computing time are concerned. The relation connecting the covariance matrix of the cartesian orthogonal coordinates to the corresponding one relevant to the transformed ellipsoidal coordinates is also illustrated. -English summary
