This short review describes the utilization of bile acids as hosts for molecular recognition and enantioselective enclathration done in recent years in our laboratories. The optical resolution of different classes of organic derivatives i.e. sulfoxides, epoxides, ketones, cyclic amides, has be obtained by host-guest enantioselective inclusion complexation. The salient aspects of the process, including X-ray results, are discussed.

Abstract
This short review describes the utilization of bile acids as hosts for molecular recognition and enantioselective enclathration done in recent years in our laboratories. The optical resolution of different classes of organic derivatives i.e. sulfoxides, epoxides, ketones, cyclic amides, has be obtained by host-guest enantioselective inclusion complexation. The salient aspects of the process, including X-ray results, are discussed.File in questo prodotto:
