In the present paper, a simple nonlocal damage model is coupled to the crack analysis in order to describe the formation and propagation of a crack in two-dimensional quasibrittle materials. The procedure is an extension to fracture mechanics of the results presented in [2-3]. The numerical scheme is based on the dual boundary element method. A numerical example is presented in order to show the efficiency of the procedure.
