Abstract
Nonlinear structural problems in the presence of material softening represent a severe challenge to solution algorithms. Special numerical procedures are required to pass critical points. The Authors discuss some relevant computational aspects of the procedure recently proposed. The interest is mainly devoted to softening models where snap-backs might arise. The procedure can be used in BEM applications on nonlocal continuum models.File in questo prodotto:
