Scope of this PhD thesis is the development of efficient algorithms for the numerical simulation of multiscale phenomena in the case of problems described by hyperbolic and/or kinetic equations. Two different and complementary methodologies has been followed: domain decomposition methods and hybrid methods. We remark the generality of the formulation of the methods introduced, in fact both approaches are easily adaptable to different situations and problems as showed in the different parts of the dissertation.
