The paper presents the performance evaluation of two ad hoc multicast routing protocols, AMRIS and ODMRP, with video traffic sources. The investigation considers the IEEE 802.11b MAC protocol and applies a quality of service scheme over the UDP transport layer, with the aim to increase both the performance of the routing protocols and the quality of service perceived by the users of the network. Performance is obtained by means of simulations and is given in terms of frame delivery fraction, energy consumption and average transmission delay

Abstract
The paper presents the performance evaluation of two ad hoc multicast routing protocols, AMRIS and ODMRP, with video traffic sources. The investigation considers the IEEE 802.11b MAC protocol and applies a quality of service scheme over the UDP transport layer, with the aim to increase both the performance of the routing protocols and the quality of service perceived by the users of the network. Performance is obtained by means of simulations and is given in terms of frame delivery fraction, energy consumption and average transmission delayFile in questo prodotto:
