The cathodic reaction of hydrogen evolution on Armco iron rotating electrode was studied in solutions of weak (HF, HCOOH, CH3COOH) and strong acids (HCl, H2SO4). These results were compared to those obtained on bright Pt. The results support the fact that undissociated molecules of weak acid may supply H+ ions to the cathodic hydrogen evolution reaction.

Abstract
The cathodic reaction of hydrogen evolution on Armco iron rotating electrode was studied in solutions of weak (HF, HCOOH, CH3COOH) and strong acids (HCl, H2SO4). These results were compared to those obtained on bright Pt. The results support the fact that undissociated molecules of weak acid may supply H+ ions to the cathodic hydrogen evolution reaction.File in questo prodotto:
