NK1 receptor-mediated inflammatory response was provoked by iv administration of SP or NK1 selective agonist in the rat urinary bladder. This latter effct was unmodified by a dual inhibitor of arachidonate cyclo-oxygenase and lipoxygenase. Otherwise, the effects of SP on plasma exudation occur through NK1 receptors and the release of cyclo-oxygenase metabolites of arachidonic acid, largely deriving form the interaction of the neuropeptide with mast cells.

Abstract
NK1 receptor-mediated inflammatory response was provoked by iv administration of SP or NK1 selective agonist in the rat urinary bladder. This latter effct was unmodified by a dual inhibitor of arachidonate cyclo-oxygenase and lipoxygenase. Otherwise, the effects of SP on plasma exudation occur through NK1 receptors and the release of cyclo-oxygenase metabolites of arachidonic acid, largely deriving form the interaction of the neuropeptide with mast cells.File in questo prodotto:
