A set of experiments has been carried out in the Hydraulics laboratory of the DISTART of Bologna. in a rotating rheometer a mixture of glass spheres and a solution of glycerol in water has been shared with different velocities. The grains velocity profile e have been measured near the outer wall by a laser anemometer. A set of experiments is herein considered, for which the low values of the Bagnold and of the Savage numbers should make negligible any ganulo-inertial effects, while the role played by the quasi static component of the stress should be significant. The availability of rather detailed experimental data on the vertical distribution of shear velocity is an important element for any further analysis, usually not available for previous experimental results.
