the inhibiting effects of N-Decyl-Pyridinium derivatives was studied in acid media using impedance technique and faradaic distortion method. The results led to the assumption that the inhibitor cation was preferentially adsorbed on the halide containing adsorbed intermediate of iron dissolution in hydrochloric acid while in sulphuric acid the adsorbed inhibitor hinders the hydrogen evolution and the desorption of FeOHads when the inhibitor concentration is sufficiently large. these results are in agreement with previous publications.

Abstract
the inhibiting effects of N-Decyl-Pyridinium derivatives was studied in acid media using impedance technique and faradaic distortion method. The results led to the assumption that the inhibitor cation was preferentially adsorbed on the halide containing adsorbed intermediate of iron dissolution in hydrochloric acid while in sulphuric acid the adsorbed inhibitor hinders the hydrogen evolution and the desorption of FeOHads when the inhibitor concentration is sufficiently large. these results are in agreement with previous publications.File in questo prodotto:
