The ovary of female supplementary reproductives is constituted by panoistic-type ovarioles containing a linear array of germ cells in successive stages of differentiation. Each ovarioles is covered with an acellular sheet, tunica propria, and can be divided on the basis of its cytological features into: terminal filament, germarium and vitellarium. The oogonia and ealy meiotic oocytes are arranged in nest surrounded by flat somatic cells which, successively, envelop each growing oocytes, forming a thin monolayered sheet.
