Oltre i confini e i territori: lo spazio giuridico delle autonomie locali

Through a rediscovery of the category of space in administrative law, to be kept distinct from the more rigid category of territory, in this essay some reflections are formulated on the need to create new models of inter-institutional cooperation of a polycentric, differentiated and flexible nature. With in the background the examination of certain theories, such as spatial justice and legal geography, which for some time now have made it possible to relativise the notion of territory and, above all, of administrative boundaries in the prevailing perspective of territorial cohesion policies, the final intention is therefore to isolate the concept of local legal space, with the ultimate aim of ensuring, through the definition of a new model of integrated territorial governance, the welfare of citizens.
