Bridge abutment is a bridge constructive element that connect the surface of the bridge, to the ground and help support its weight both horizontally and vertically. This study consists on the designing of a bridge abutment with several variants and a technical-economic comparison for choosing the most optimal variant. To meet this objec- tive, the design of the abutment of the bridge will be made with two several variants: concrete abutment bridge and geosynthet- ic-reinforced soil abutment bridge.
