Urban Air Quality as well as Noise Pollution frameworks in Albania requires an particular attention due to the fact that since the approval of the strategy in 2014 followed by 2019 national plan and recent updates there have been no efforts whatsoever by MTM and AKM to impose implementation. Since 2016 there are very few monitoring practices whereas for Tirana the whole period 2016-2022 is not covered by any monitoring practice. To be mentioned is the fact that none of local governments have prepared and adopted their Local Plans on Air Quality. By far the EU funded initiative www.greenlungs.al is the only platform that actually does provide public information with regard to Air Pollution, Noise and Ecosystem Services in Albania.
