This paper will focus on the concept of sustainability in insolvency law, analysing the impact that social factors could have in this field of law and the role of stakeholders in the restructuring. In particular, the study will address the role of workers in insolvency and the forms of employees’ involvement, not only considering the rights of information and consultations provided by the EU Directives, but also the possibility to realise a direct participation to the proceedings and save the insolvent enterprise through the practices of Workers buyouts.

Abstract
