Abstract
The Italian Parliament authorised the ratification of the Rome Statute in 1999 but, so far, has not adopted any specific provision to introduce statutory crimes into the domestic legal system. After identifying the sources and content of Italy’s international obligations in this field, this chapter will examine the methods which can be used to ensure their full implementation at the national level, taking into consideration the characteristics of the international rules at stake, and the requirements of Article 25(2) of the Italian Constitution.File in questo prodotto:
