The objective of school educational assistance is to improve the learning and socialization processes of the pupils with disabilities by working on complex autonomies and intervening in an inclusive perspective. According to the law 104/1992, the management of the service belongs to the local authorities. In a framework in which the prevailing organizational choice at the national level is outsourcing, the public body can and must initiate monitoring and formative evaluation processes aimed at the continuous improvement of the service quality. The article intends to offer inputs for the construction of evaluation systems and practices, useful for those who, at the local authorities, the contracting organizations and/or schools, are involved in the organization and/or provision of this service. An operational proposal is also presented for schools that intend to start self-evaluation processes for educational assistance.

L’obiettivo dell’assistenza educativa scolastica è migliorare i processi di apprendimento e socializzazione degli alunni con disabilità lavorando sulle autonomie complesse e intervenendo in un’ottica inclusiva. Secondo la legge 104/1992, la gestione del servizio spetta agli enti locali. In un quadro in cui la scelta organizzativa prevalente a livello nazionale risulta essere l’esternalizzazione, si ritiene che l’ente pubblico possa e debba avviare processi di monitoraggio e valutazione formativa, volti al miglioramento continuo della qualità. L’articolo intende fornire spunti di riflessione sulla valutazione dell’assistenza educativa utili per coloro che, presso gli enti locali, le organizzazioni aggiudicatarie/affidatarie e/o gli istituti scolastici, sono coinvolti nell’organizzazione e/o erogazione di questo servizio. Viene presentata, inoltre, una proposta operativa per le scuole che intendano avviare processi di autovalutazione dell’assistenza educativa.
