The work proposes to confront in a systematic and rigorous way the reading of the rooting informal, analyzing from a morphological point of view the urban fabric of four favelas in Rio de Janeiro, a privileged field of observation regarding informality. These territories, after having been traversed for a long time, observed, surveyed, mapped and redrawn, are analyzed on a territorial scale, to probe the incidences rootedness in the metropolises, and on a spatial scale, to identify and understand the syntaxes of evolution and micro-transformation of its urban fabric. The idea is to look at these territories with “architect's eyes”, overcoming the wall represented by hypercomplexity, marginality and difficulty of access. The end is that of build a specific and unprecedented “informal catalog” that brings together the assets of actions, forms and urban spaces generated “within rooting”, and usable as an instrument of rigorous knowledge and interpretation of informality. The themes confronted in this study seek to make a significant contribution – if not an answer – to questions of particular topicality in the scientific debate: which urban scenarios are generated from the informal rooting? Which urban and spatial grammar are generated? Can the urban theory absorb these new questions and translate them into precise project action methods?

Abstract
Can the urban theory absorb these new questions and translate them into precise project action methods?File | Dimensione | Formato | |
