Research on Public Communication of Science and Technology has been focused on non-experts and mediators. Scientists as communicators has not been explored yet although they are involved in communicative practices. The SHARPER project, in the «European Researchers Night» framework, carried out a study to evaluate the researcher communication strategies. During the 2014-2015 events, information about researcher expectation, preparation and communication strategies were collected using observation and interviews. Moreover, information on the event organization, management and development were recorded.The results of the study showed how different communication approaches affect the relationship between scientists and the public.
