The new challenges of the European Green Deal and those of Climate Change require strategic plans and new approaches. This also allows considerations about new professional skills and operational tools aimed at effective preventive assessment of the environmental impacts and greenhouse gas emissions of new projects. The adoption of a systematic practice of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for each kind of building assumes, in this context, a new and more central relevance as well as an undelayable application. Several digital tools have emerged over the years at the service of technicians and professionals in the sector. These tools will presumably find rapid diffusion and will require ease and flexibility of use as well as customization by users. Here are presented some hints on the tools available to this day and the most innovative ones among them.
