Abstract

To document and analyse the cultural heritage, which has affected by natural or anthropic actions, to guarantee its programmatic conservation, the adoption of an integrated survey methodology through which it is possible to classify, interpret and return the tangible and intangible "significances" of cultural heritage, is necessary. Starting from this premise, the Ph.D. research, conducted within the 34th cycle of the IDAUP – International Doctorate in Architecture and Urban Planning program of the University of Ferrara and funded by the Emilia-Romagna Region program "Three-year high skills plan for research, technology transfer and entrepreneurship" according to Legislative Assembly and Representative Resolution N. 38, 20/10/2015, ERDF ESF 2014/2020 thematic objective 10, has as its objective the integrated documentation of the historical theatres of Emilia-Romagna struck by the 2012 earthquake, to develop an integrated protocol of seismic damage survey specific for the architectural typology analysed but adaptable and declinable to the macro-scale of cultural heritage, to ensure the mitigation and management of seismic risk both during the emergency phase and ordinary programmatic maintenance. Through the integrated protocol it is intended to operate, starting from a systematization of data and metadata collected in the reconstruction phase, managed by the Agency for the reconstruction of the Emilia-Romagna Region, and then their implementation within platforms for the integration and interoperability of digital data, such as the H-BIM platform developed within the INCEPTION project, funded by the European Commission and coordinated by the Department of Architecture of the University of Ferrara.
