Abstract

The ongoing digitalization processes of the construction industry is allowing a fast evolution of tools for professionals: from 2D and 3D technical drawing, to the use of more complex project virtualizations, such as the BIM models and the BEM models and simulations. Within this scenario, in recent years, importing and fitting the original concept form the industrial sector, it is a major the Digital Twin: a real time virtualization of the building aimed at optimizing energy consumption, improving user comfort and validating forecasted simulations. Complex challenges to increase the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the construction industry. And great opportunity to train new professionals in specific 4.0 skills such as digitisation, automation, data integration and dematerialisation.
