Abstract

The society that we are interested in living today breathes and, more and more, is in conformity with a globalization that is too often likely to resemble an awkward attempt at value and cultural uniformity, for an apparent inclusion. If on the one hand the technologies are there for a daily globalization, as if easy knowledge were implicitly included, on the other hand precisely this possibility of spreading knowledge within a process of reflection on the dimension of inclusion that brings with it.The reflection that you want to ask comes from the extensive experience in the field of MOOC and their progressive use. A commitment not only in the field of training but also, and increasingly, for the diffusion of knowledge. The dissemination of knowledge, which can be used with the MOOC, is aimed at promoting the direct use, enhancement and use of knowledge for the social, cultural and economic development of society; this now stated is what for the Italian University is the "third mission" after the fundamental objectives of teaching and research. We therefore want to highlight how the MOOC and the OPEN approach have what in economics is called ROI (Return Of Investment) in terms of inclusion and digital citizenship, to also lead to an intercultural dimension.A perspective that does not lead to defining paths of uniformity but paths of inclusion represented by discovering interconnections even before common points. The spirit that permeates this work can be summarized in a thought by the French biologist Jean Rostand "All human diversity is the product of the almost infinite variety of gene exchanges. We are all made up of the same chromosomal powder; none of us has a single grain that can claim as his. It is our whole that belongs to us and makes us ours: we are an original mosaic of banal elements"
