Abstract
Following the positive results of Lo-RaTM technology trial test for monitor the energy consumption in public buildings, performed inside their own offices in Bologna [1], LepidaScpa has promoted the initiative of an IoT public network, based on the very same technology, available to all public administrations, as well as to private citizens and private companies, enabling the collection of relevant data from thousands of new sensors, installed in particularly interesting areas, and making data accessible to both the owners of the sensors and, limitedly to institutional or public interest scopes, to every PA entity. The simultaneous presence of LoRaTM technology, of Lepida broadband network and of Sensornet regional platform, are preconditions for system deployment, starting from municipalities involved in Smart Cities development. The innovative aspects of the solution proposed mainly concern the extreme simplicity of the IoT network architecture, the use of the Lepida broadband network as infrastructure enabling IoT network, the use of centralized services to collect data and to make them available, the creation of a federated, open and non-profit IoT networkI documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
