The availability of ultra broadband networks and reliable data centers, together with the cloud computing adoption, is paving the way to a drastic change in the e- governments services delivery. This paper aims to illustrate the actions carried out within the framework of the Digital Agenda of the Emilia-Romagna (Italy) in terms of centralization of software to ensure homogeneous services across the regional territory and the solutions adopted with a particular focus on the security aspects.
