La recente evoluzione dell’ecosistema urbano a Mantova

The purpose of this study is to compare with a large-scale and well-structured analysis the environmental conditions of the city of Mantua with the same conditions of Ferrara, given that these two cities located in the Po Valley reveal many analogies. The analysis is lead using some data measured and publicized by Legambiente for the four-year period 2015-2018, supplemented with additional statistical informations, so as to be able to present an exhaustive framework. The main result obtained is the observation of a marked contrast between the positive aspects, such as to place the city of Mantua at the top of the national classification of the urban eco-system, and the negative ones, such as the overruns for many days in the year of the limits for fine particles in the air; whose cause is attributable to many factors, including the activity conducted by the petrochemical center.
