Abstract
Because of its particular geological conformation, as well as thanks to the climatic influence given, on one hand, by the presence of the mountain reliefs, and, on the other, mitigated by the proximity of the Garda Lake, the Alto Adige region, constitutes, together with Tuscany and Lombardy, one of the most valuable wine production areas in Italy. This region, divided into seven different wine-growing areas, distinguished according to the territorial morphology, is largely crossed by the weinstraße, also called "Wine Route", along which a lot of more or less structured wineries stand. However, if these places traditionally were farmsteads or small farms, with regular morphology and mostly organized above-ground; today, such buildings, have often been replaced by real hi-tech architectures, capable – thanks to the introduction of innovative materials and elements – of modifying the architectural language of such building typologies, innovating its form and providing it new aesthetical value, thanks to technologically advanced building envelope equipped with new, unconventional performance. Selected by virtue of the particular features that distinguish them, the three examples cited in the present discussion are: the Tramin winery, in Bozen, the new Bozen winery, in San Maurizio (BZ) and the Cantina Kaltern wine cooperative.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
