Summer e winter school tra oriente e occidente: documentazione dei centri storici in India e Italia [Summer and Winter Schools Between East and West: Studying Old City Centres in India and Italy]

The Department of Architecture of the University of Ferrara together with the CEPT University of Ahmedabad has developed a series of survey/design workshops in Jodhpur (India) and Ferrara (Italy) for the students of the department of architecture of the two institutions, involving also local professionals and local authorities and in particular those in charge of the preservation and management of two historic centres. These workshops have been organized over a period of five years as Summer and Winter Schools, consisting in research activities and on-field surveys carried out by the group of international students supervised by professors coming not only from the two institutions but also from Georgia, Brazil, AUE, New Zeland and France.

Il Dipartimento di Architettura dell’Università degli Studi di Ferrara insieme alla CEPT University di Ahmedabad hanno sviluppato una serie di Workshop di rilievo, rappresentazione ed elaborazione di proposte progettuali a Jodhpur, in India, e a Ferrara, rivolti agli studenti dei Dipartimenti di Architettura delle due Università, coinvolgendo inoltre professionisti e autorità locali, e in particolare quelle figure coinvolte nella conservazione e gestione dei due centri storici. I Workshop sono stati organizzati nell’arco di cinque anni come Summer e Winter School e si sono svolti attraverso attività di ricerca e rilievi sul campo realizzati dal gruppo di studenti internazionali con la supervisione dei docenti provenienti non solo dalle due Università ma anche dalla Georgia, dal Brasile, Emirati Arabi Uniti, Nuova Zelanda e Francia.
