This paper aims to address educational and representation issues by means of a case study analysis of an initiative based on survey techniques of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Blue City of Jodhpur (Rajasthan, India) implemented over a period of five years (2013-2017) as a collaboration between the University of Ferrara, Department of Architecture (Italy), CEPT University of Ahmedabad (India) and the Mehrangarh Museum Trust (India), with the support of the Municipality of Jodhpur. The impact of the initiative, analysed using mixed research methods, provides interesting insights on the potential of implementing educational ecosystem approaches for cultural heritage survey and preservation in India.
