An investigation on the developed semantics of music in the context of hermeneutic education as an input for epistemological thought towards cognitive democracy is the aim of this research and analysis. I refer to complex epistemology which is based on knowledge ecosystems research undertaken by G. Bateson and Paolo Alto School. Researching this topic and any knowledge in this area is nowadays more accessible and understandable thanks to authors such as E. Morin, Bocchi and Ceruti. The outcomes of my research are based on the results of miscellaneous experiences and personal awareness in the artistic-music field and scientific knowledge gained throughout the course of my studies in educational science. I believe this to be important research from both epistemological and pedagogical points of view since its goals are to investigate both how to arrange and how to grow knowledge from music philosophy. Moreover, my research analysis aims to consider the metacognitive function of music, a further interdisciplinary concept that can potentially aid developments in the cognitive, social, philosophy and esthetic fields.
