The thesis deals with the principle of loyal collaboration between the institutions of the Republic. Initially, it gives an account of the development of such a principle in law and doctrine, from the birth of the regional state, through the reform of Title V, until now. We examine the bodies whose mandate is to ensure a stable connection between State, Regions and Local Authorities, with particular reference to the "Conferences' System" and other bodies receiving increasing importance (eg. the "Conference of the Regions") . There is a summary of some cases of functioning of the inter-institutional cooperation in the conferences. The thesis underlines main legal issues concerning the efficacy of the agreements reached in those bodies and their potential impact on the order of constitutional powers. It gives some hypothesis of solutions “de jure condendo" to enhance effective intersubjective cooperation.
