‘Reactive’ is the adjective we use to describe the reaction of the Italian area know as Riviera Romagnola to the economic crisis in 2008, following the very same attitude it had previously developed in similar experiences, like the mucilage proliferation during 1989 which destroyed the ‘seaside reputation’ asking for a change in the touristic model. The same adjective is used to give a sense of reaction to the challenge represented by the current tourism’s pressure and challenges on territories and landscapes.
