The article investigates the methodological and technological practices of e-learning applied at the University of Ferrara where part of the in-person teaching activity, since the 2013-14 academic year, has been structured according to a new model based on the integration of the classroom lecture with distance learning methods. Web conferencing has become a key part of this didactic experimentation. The research explores how this tool has been used and the related didactic paradigms, through: a) empirical observation of the implementation of a certain number of courses in the virtual environment; b) a questionnaire for the students.

El artículo indaga las prácticas metodológicas y tecnológicas del e-learning que se realizan en la Universidad de Ferrara, donde una parte de la oferta formativa, desde el año académico 2012-2014 , se ha estructurado según un nuevo modelo didáctico que se basa en la integración de la lección en el aula con metodologías de la formación a distancia. En su tercer año de aplicación, el modelo ha sido aplicado a 109 docentes y han participado 1379 estudiantes, con un total de 5.129 horas de clase. En esta experimentación didáctica se destaca la web conference, tecnología que permite seguir las clases que se desarrollan en las aulas universitarias desde cualquier sitio y en cualquier dispositivo. La investigación escudriña el modo y los paradigmas didácticos con que este instrumento se ha empleado, a través de la observación empírica del desarrollo de un número determinado de cursos en el ambiente virtual y de un cuestionario dirigido a los estudiantes.
