This project is based on an innovative spectroscopic ESO-Large Programme (225 hrs carried out in 2012-2014 with VIMOS@VLT, P.I. P.Rosati, UniFe), currently 90% complete and other coordinated ongoing observing programs with LBT, Keck, Spitzer, with data acquired after 2012, in which the proposers play a role as PIs or CoIs. These programmes are part or follow-up of the HST Multi-cycle Treasury Program CLASH (P.I. M. Postman, STScI, 524 HST orbits, now completed) aimed at a detailed study of a well defined sample of massive clusters of galaxies.
