The increasingly widespread presence of legal clinics within the Italian universities is of high interest for the legal-philosophical debate for a lot of reasons, not last for the importance of the definitional problem, as well as for issues concerning the educational methodology, the jurist’s identity and the problem of “professionalism”. In the essay, the Author first reconstructs the wider debate concerning legal clinics, then analyses the possible impact of its use in the educational field, focusing also on some criticisms, which will require further theoretical inquiry.
