Abstract

Starting from the consideration that the University is not immune to the social changes that we are experiencing and that has to deal with the new training requests made by young students, and a hitherto unknown public university education. These new instances come from adults who require different forms of access to knowledge, diversified and flexible time, manner and place. The University of Ferrara is reflecting on the issues and problems raised so; in particular the University Estense is considering how to continue to effectively research and experimentation developed through a dedicated center since 1997, in the context of innovation in teaching. In this research, from reflections on the modification of the social framework, has begun a reflection on MOOC and OER as an opportunity given, especially to adults, to explore, adapt and increase their knowledge in a "life long learning ". MOOCs (xMOOC , cMOOC e MOOC 2.0) have been cataloged by the search of Se@, the center of research on new technologies of University of Ferrara, in two categories: • "didactic" with mentoring and with credits certifiable • "dissemination": construction or reuse of educational materials for training "free". For each of these two types have been implemented as a prototype two MOOC, in particular: • for the didactic model: "Recognition of skills and validation of prior learning" in collaboration between more than 30 italian universities and international lectures; • for the dissemination model: "Teaching sustainability in school and in society", born from the experience of the project TESSI (Teaching Sustainability across Slovenia and Italy). The article in addition to describing the history of these projects, exhibits early reflections and perspectives emerged in particular for the MOOC teaching in progress and which allows a better analysis of the data is that teacher-student interaction.
