The Basilica of SS. Annunziata is a sanctuary situated near Spedale degli Innocenti in Florence. The building was designed by Leon Battista Alberti, who modified the architectural design of Michelozzo around 1470-71, focusing on: the tribuna, on the triumphal arch, on the two lateral chapels, and on the dome. The survey is part of a greater project, related to the construction of a 3D interrogable database of Alberti's works. The project was done utilizing 3D laser instrumentation as a survey technique. The metrological analysis revealed the need for a structural and developmental data query that is coherent. The survey provides for a geometric structural analysis, merged with the metrological analysis highlighting the metric matrix and a reference module. The study and evaluation were carried out using 2D graphic representations and extracts of the generated geometry of the construction. It allowed for Alberti’s "thought" to be analysed and reviewed, for contemporary criticism, in actual realized architectural solutions.

Abstract
It allowed for Alberti’s "thought" to be analysed and reviewed, for contemporary criticism, in actual realized architectural solutions.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
