The optimisation of innovative methodological approaches in acquisition processes of numeric, morphologic and diagnostic data, aimed at the three-dimensional modelling of cultural heritage represents an important frontier towards an evermore inclusive and widespread knowledge of the European Cultural Heritage. The new uses of digital data acquired through three-dimensional survey technologies, for interdisciplinary knowledge of cultural heritage, are one of the current challenges at European level, towards an increasingly inclusiveness and accessibility of three-dimensional digital data. From data acquisition to the issues concerning the possibility of creating inter-operable digital models, for knowledge, enhancement and conservation of architectural heritage, up to the elaboration of output data in BIM (Building Information Modelling) environment, the contribution is especially intended to give an in depth analysis of those methodological processes that, starting from the point cloud, lead to new approaches to BIM-Heritage.

Abstract
The optimisation of innovative methodological approaches in acquisition processes of numeric, morphologic and diagnostic data, aimed at the three-dimensional modelling of cultural heritage represents an important frontier towards an evermore inclusive and widespread knowledge of the European Cultural Heritage. The new uses of digital data acquired through three-dimensional survey technologies, for interdisciplinary knowledge of cultural heritage, are one of the current challenges at European level, towards an increasingly inclusiveness and accessibility of three-dimensional digital data. From data acquisition to the issues concerning the possibility of creating inter-operable digital models, for knowledge, enhancement and conservation of architectural heritage, up to the elaboration of output data in BIM (Building Information Modelling) environment, the contribution is especially intended to give an in depth analysis of those methodological processes that, starting from the point cloud, lead to new approaches to BIM-Heritage.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
