Abstract
Since the White Paper in 1997, Renewable Energy Sources (RESs) are considered as alternative solutions to promote a new approach on energy topic with the aim to challenge the dependence on traditional fuels, reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, diversifying energy supply. Nowadays, if the results achieved can be considered positive as part of an increasing trend, it is crucial for further developments and the success of future policy frameworks identifying which is citizenship’s perception and awareness on energy topic. Population cannot be only passive final users of RES, but has to become active protagonist in the whole process. After two decades of policies and technologies application, RESs can move into tools able to innovate sustainable practices, educating citizens on their role in energy needs inside their districts; are citizens ready for this challenge?I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
