The role of illicit drugs in determining trauma is frequently reported, even if there is a relevant variability in the frequency of the causal connections between illicit drugs and traumatic events. The aim of this study was to analyze in a systematic way the severity of trauma, the type of commonly used drugs and the possible connections with trauma in injured patients admitted to first aid department.
