The network for snow measuring in Trentino: heterogeneous data, the result of a complex history The variations of snow parameters (depth and cover of land) at different scales and time is an important signal of climatic change in the medium and high Mediterranean mountains. However, the measures of the snow cover are not as frequent and extensive as those related to rainfall or temperatures. The Trento province has more extensive measures of snow cover of Italy; unofficial measurements are available since 1830 as the first official remarks since 1864 begins. Several official institutions - foreign and local - responsibles for measuring of the snowpack, have produced data archives uneven between them, both in terms of the parameters measured, both for the different measuring points, and finally for the type of relief – manual or automatic Therefore I don’t have almost never available time series on which to make satisfactory statistical analysis After the creation of database and a data quality control, we must proceed at homogenization of time series available, so that they can calculate the trends and properly assess the indices of climate change

Abstract
The network for snow measuring in Trentino: heterogeneous data, the result of a complex history The variations of snow parameters (depth and cover of land) at different scales and time is an important signal of climatic change in the medium and high Mediterranean mountains. However, the measures of the snow cover are not as frequent and extensive as those related to rainfall or temperatures. The Trento province has more extensive measures of snow cover of Italy; unofficial measurements are available since 1830 as the first official remarks since 1864 begins. Several official institutions - foreign and local - responsibles for measuring of the snowpack, have produced data archives uneven between them, both in terms of the parameters measured, both for the different measuring points, and finally for the type of relief – manual or automatic Therefore I don’t have almost never available time series on which to make satisfactory statistical analysis After the creation of database and a data quality control, we must proceed at homogenization of time series available, so that they can calculate the trends and properly assess the indices of climate changeI documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
