Abstract

The Letter stresses the fact that music therapy has recently reached a good level of evidence in the field of dementia. Furthermore, the lack of drugs able to prevent the disease and the poor financial support in the field of dementia, suggest the use of the MT approach as an inexpensive and without side effects intervention. We are introducing also the importance of further randomized controlled trials to define relevant aspects in the music therapy practice and research.
