By the early months of 1913 begins collaborations in Milano’s magazines of satire and politics «in Tramway giornale per tutti» and «...a quel paese! politico satirico settimanale». It is an important experience that will see him consistently engaged in an ongoing relationship in which further reveal his high qualities as a draftsman capable of transferring an expressive quality to the compositions. Some of these drawings are specially made, corresponding to a theme that the artist plays, often in ironic ways, uploading the content of the texts, whether they are articles or aphorisms. Other drawings are already belong to the repertoire of the artist and correspond to sketches and outlines which respond, although conceived for another context, to the same need, although in a more free. The rich and varied repertoire allows us to appreciate the quality of Bonzagni like a brilliant illustrator and great caricaturist, and especially his ability to move effortlessy in predetermined spaces reaching a balance between images and text. His contributions on both magazines have been the subject of attention of art historians and critics; however, this study goes further in depth in terms of the timing of these exercises, and the aspects of a stylistic comparison. Currently, we know the moments of the beginning and end of these collaborations and we are able to complete the corpus of the illustrations of the «in Tramway giornale per tutti» known and published just in part, but above all we are able to trace back the illustrations made for «...a quel paese! politico satirico settimanale» adding it to the catalog of his works.
