Abstract—The necessity of efficient data communication infrastructures, at low cost and high operational flexibility, is strongly increasing in public administrations, in order to provide adequate services to the citizens. Is equally important that this structure, based on high computing power and storage, should be concentrated in a few sites: this could optimize the use of resources and ensure a high standard of physical and logical security. In this paper authors explain how, starting from an existing regional network that connects all the public administrations of the Emilia-Romagna region, have decided to add to its topology four Datacenter for this purpose.
